Hello!
Halloween is coming and you want to host a kids party. You found a super cute printable invitation and you want to give it a special finish. With this tutorial you will be able to make an easy to do envelope that will get that perfect look for your printable invitation. It is also suitable for any other type of invitation, just choose the correct paper and bow colors.
MATERIALS
- The envelope template – printed
- Orange cardboard
- Pencil
- Scissors
- A black ribbon (or any color you want).
- Scoring board (optional)
- A 5″ x 7″ invitation (check out these cute Halloween invitations at my shop)
STEPS
The idea is to create a pocket-envelope.
- Print the template and cut along the outer borders.
- Place the template parts together as shown in the picture below and trace the template on to the orange cardboard.
- Cut along the outer border you just traced.
- Score and fold the envelope as indicated in the image below. (If you don’t have a scoring board, you can fold it manually).
- Fold the small wings, glue them on the outside and paste them to make a pocket.
- Wrap the pocket of the invitation with the ribbon until you like the outcome and tie the ends. Congratulations! You are done 🙂
